KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo City Commission will have a new look in its first meeting since the November 4 election.
Mayor David Anderson, who was easily re-elected to a fourth term, along with three city commissioners will be sworn in for four year terms Monday afternoon.
Joining the commission are newcomers Drew Duncan and Jae Slaby, alongside returning commissioner Stephanie Hoffman, who was re-elected for a second term.
Duncan, who received the most votes of any candidate, will serve as Vice Mayor. commissioners Chris Praedel, Alonzo Wilson, and Jeanne Hess will continue their terms through 2027, while commissioners Qianna Decker and Don Cooney will retire at the end of their terms, making way for the two new commissioners.
The recently elected Mayor and City Commissioners will take their oath of office in a ceremony Monday at 5:00 p.m., just before the 56th City Commission convenes for its first Business Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
