KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Public Schools board of education is taking their act on the road and holding meetings in neighborhood schools instead of at the Administration Building.
Tonight they will be gathering at Edison Academy for the board’s bi-monthly business meeting.
Superintendent Darrin Slade says they plan to do these meetings once or twice each school year, so it will be a special event.
They are hitting the road to get out into the community and to make the meetings more accessible.
The elementary school is one of the district’s newest buildings and is at 831 Lake Street.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
