ALAMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One woman was injured after police say her vehicle was shot at early Saturday morning on U.S. 131 in Kalamazoo County.
Around 2:40 a.m Kalamazoo County Central Dispatch received a 911 phone call advising of a shooting along U.S. 131 near the 45 mile marker. Dispatch then received additional reports of a
vehicle traveling the wrong way on the highway. Callers in the vehicle stated they were being chased and shot at.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies responded located the victims. One female was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The investigation led to a Kalamazoo apartment complex, where a male person of interest was taken into custody, and a female was taken into custody for a separate incident investigated earlier.
