KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The suspect in a September shooting that injured five at a Kalamazoo restaurant was arraigned on 25 felony counts Tuesday.
19-year-old Na’Ledge Quincy Lovon Williams Chamberlain had been extradited from Minnesota. The shooting happened September 20 at Two Fellas Grill on Michigan Avenue after a fight broke out. More than 30 people were in the restaurant at the time.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Chief David Boysen said last month, “The suspect fired multiple times inside of the restaurant. He continued to fire toward the occupied building after he exited the restaurant while he was in the parking lot, thereby putting a lot of lives in danger that were inside of that restaurant.”
Four people were hit by gunfire, while a fifth was injured by debris.
Police say Chamberlin was identified by tips submitted through Silent Observer. He was arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota November 19.
