DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Detroit Tigers ace pitcher Tarik Skubal will play for Team USA in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
He is the two-time American League Cy Young Award winner in 2024 and 2025 and is the first Tiger named to the U.S. roster.
Teammate Javier Baez will play for Puerto Rico next spring.
Skubal made the announcement in a post on Instagram.
