KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo’s Green Door Distilling is closing its Tasting Room at 429 North Street Saturday.
The distillery says in a social media statement they will continue producing and distributing products, but the Tasting Room is going away.
They say a small business like that needs consistent, local support that they haven’t had enough of “to offset the rising costs and the legacy of debt we’ve been carrying.”
Green Door Distilling opened in 2014 and new ownership including former Detroit Pistons player Ben Wallace and Grand Rapids Gold founder and president Steve Jbara have owned it since 2022.
