KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Violent crime in Kalamazoo is at a 10-year low.
Public Safety officials say homicides are down 53%, aggravated assaults are lower by 28%, and robberies fell by 44% in the past five years.
Chief David Boysen says the ten-year lows and “consistent five-year declines in serious offenses shows the strength of our approach and the dedication of our personnel.”
Officers seized over 400 illegal guns in the past year.
