LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt is requesting an investigation into the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential.
The Van Buren County Republican says MiLEAP needs to be looked at after becoming concerned by fraud cases in Minnesota among day care centers that are accused of misusing government money.
Nesbitt says scammers and criminal enterprises need to be stopped “and need to be put in jail.”
MiLEAP released a statement saying they take their responsibility to taxpayers and families seriously and continue to strengthen program integrity.
