No injuries in Post Consumer Brands fire in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – No one was hurt in a fire Sunday afternoon at Post Consumer Brands in Battle Creek.

Firefighters were called to the scene just before 5 p.m. and Post employees told them there was a fire in an oven.

The oven was on the fourth floor of the building and some water had been applied, but the temperatures in the oven “were exceeding normal operating temperatures.”

Crews were on scene for about an hour as they extinguished the blaze and ventilated the area.
