LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former U.S. Attorney Mark Totten is suspending his bid to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for Michigan attorney general in 2026.
His exit leaves Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald, and public defender William Noakes as the remaining candidates.
McDonald has received the endorsement of the United Auto Workers and the Michigan Education Association.
Totten says he did not see a viable path for him to win the nomination, which will be awarded at a spring endorsement convention.
