LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – In a rare bipartisan call for civility in today’s politics, four of Michigan’s ex-governors will take part in a special forum in Lansing Wednesday.
Former Governors Jim Blanchard, John Engler, Jennifer Granholm, and Rick Snyder will headline the forum that organizers say will focus on “restoring respectful and peaceful disagreements in a hyper-partisan era.”
The organizers of the event include Michiganders for Civic Reliance, Oakland University Center for Civic Engagement, Democracy Defense Project, Mackinac Center for Public Policy, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation.
The event starting at 11:30 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Lansing is sold out, but it will be available to watch via livestream.
