KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Township Treasurer Sherine Miller has been censured for a second time by the township board.
Township supervisor David Combs said Miller again violated township policies when she transferred $4-million in tax revenue from the township’s checking account to a township money management account without telling staff beforehand.
Miller disputed Combs’ accusation, saying she emailed him before the transfer.
Combs says there was no advance notice, because the transfer and her email happened at the same time of 9:40 a.m. on February 3rd.
The township board voted five to one to remove her as an administrator from all township bank accounts.
