BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A North Carolina man is in police custody and facing over 25 felony sex crime charges after a sextortion investigation began with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office in Battle Creek contacted the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office with a complaint involving an 18-year-old woman who reported she was being extorted by 22-year-old Kelbie Glover of Rose Hill, North Carolina.
He is a registered sex offender with prior convictions for sexual battery and indecent exposure.
Glover was allegedly threatening to release private images of the young woman to relatives and he was arrested on one felony charge of sexual extortion of an adult.
Police uncovered more evidence between January 22nd and February 2nd showing several underage females and identified other victims who were extorted or received unsolicited explicit images from Glover.
Evidence also corroborated that Glover sexually assaulted an 18-year-old female in Sampson County in late 2024.
Bond was set at $475,000.
Glover is charged with:
1 count of Second-Degree Forcible Rape
14 counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child
5 counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Child
1 count of Indecent Liberties with a Child
1 count of Extortion
1 count of Disseminating Obscenities
1 count of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender
