ST IGNACE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Mackinac Bridge is back open after officials closed the span between the Upper and Lower Peninsulas for seven-hours yesterday.
The closure was due to falling ice.
Drivers were advised to cut their speed to a maximum of 20-miles-an-hour after the bridge reopened and use their low-beam headlights.
There was also heavy fog in the Straits of Mackinac due to the melting snow and ice.
