People’s Food Co-Op of Kalamazoo members concerned about leadership transition

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Several dozen People’s Food Co-Op of Kalamazoo members have concerns about the transition in leadership and expressed those worries to their board this week.

Member Charles Overberger has been with the co-op since the 1980s and says he left the meeting with more questions than he came with.

He says the board “literally fired everybody within two to three weeks.”

Kalamazoo Vice Mayor and People’s Food Co-Op board member Drew Duncan says the store is financially solvent and he agrees with other member’s concerns about the interim general manager.
