KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo Public Schools will hold an orientation next week at all 17 Kalamazoo Public Schools elementary buildings for incoming kindergarten students and PEEP: A Great Start Readiness Program children.
Sessions will be held Wednesday, March 4 at 9:30 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m. Families are invited to attend the events to register, meet staff, tour schools and learn about the kindergarten and Pre-K experience at KPS.
Students who will be 5-years-old by Sept. 1 may enroll in kindergarten. Waivers are available for students who will be five between September 1 and December 1. All KPS elementary schools offer full-day kindergarten. Students are initially assigned to schools based on their home addresses.
Online enrollment for new students in all grades for the 2026-27 school year will also open March 4.
