KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Western Michigan University Sports and Event Management Club will hold their inaugural career fair next week.
The seniors in the club found there were not specific sports and event career fairs that would connect students to job opportunities.
The career fair will be Friday, March 20th from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Wings Event Center, with a private tour available at 4:30 p.m. and a panel discussion on career trends at 5:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m., attendees can watch the Kalamazoo Wings game against the Rapid City Rush.
Employers who will be on hand include Discover Kalamazoo, City of Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation, Greenleaf Hospitality, the Kalamazoo Growlers, the Battle Creek Battle Jacks, the Grand Rapids Gold, and more.
High school students will get free admission to the career fair and hockey game. College students with a valid ID can get in to both for $10, alumni and college graduates along with the general public have a $15 admission for both the career fair and hockey game.
