KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – 19-year-old Kaiden Cole has been found guilty by a Kalamazoo jury of 1st-degree premeditated murder, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon in the death of Montine Wiley Jr.
Wiley was shot and killed when working as a security guard at a business in the 400 block of East North Street just before 11 p.m. on April 12th of last year.
Cole is not eligible to be sentenced to life in prison without parole due to his age, but will be sentenced April 22nd.
The deadly shooting happened during a fight between a patron trying to enter the venue and Wiley.
