CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Florida man who pled no contest in January to third-degree arson, terrorism, and assault with intent to murder charges will spend between the next 25 and 40-years in a Michigan prison.
41-year-old James Itani was sentenced Tuesday for setting several Michigan State Police vehicles on fire in Sault Ste. Marie in September 2023.
He also shot at the vehicles with a rifle.
Itani was given credit for 935 days already spent behind bars.
