BEIJING (Reuters) – Beijing-based feed group Dabeinong said on Thursday that three genetically modified soybean varieties developed by its biotech unit have been approved for planting by Uruguay’s authorities.
The three varieties have already received approval for planting in Argentina, and two of them in Brazil.
While the product will be commercially promoted in Uruguay, full trade and planting are contingent on receiving import approval from other major soybean-consuming countries, according to the filing.
