MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – The Mexican peso strengthened nearly 1% in international trading on Thursday after U.S. President Donald Trump and his Mexican counterpart, Claudia Sheinbaum, held a phone call they both dubbed “very productive.”
The currency was trading at 19.74 per U.S. dollar before mid-day, reaching its strongest point since mid-October.
Domestic trading in Mexico is closed on Thursday and will be closed on Friday for the Easter holidays.
