KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – After nearly three decades on the board of the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (Kalamazoo RESA), Dr. Delores Myers has announced her retirement, effective June 30, 2025.
First appointed to the Kalamazoo RESA Board of Education in September 1996, Dr. Myers brought to the role nearly two decades of prior school board experience, including 19 years of service on the Gull Lake Community Schools Board of Education, where she also served as board president.
Kalamazoo RESA says her 11-year tenure as board president from 2002 to 2013 was marked by innovation, partnership, and major investments in educational infrastructure.
She was involved in several major projects, including the construction and opening of WoodsEdge Learning Center and the Career Connect Campus, and championed the 1999-2000 addition of the current Kalamazoo RESA Service Center.
Kalamazoo RESA is an intermediate school district dedicated to providing innovative educational services and specialized supports to learners, families, and educators across the Greater Kalamazoo region.
