KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An early morning stabbing in Kalamazoo on Monday is under investigation.
Public Safety says they were called to a stabbing in the area of Burr Oak and Burdick and say a 32-year-old man was found with stab wounds at the southeast corner of Vine and Burdick and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police they recovered a knife in the 1000 block of South Rose Street and determined the 9-1-1 call was made by the suspect, who was the one found at Vine and Burdick.
The 32-year-old suspect is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Investigators say he allegedly assaulted and seriously injured a 41-year-old woman and also injured a 59-year-old man with the knife. Two other people, who have not been identified, were also assaulted.
Two of the victims were taken to the hospital to be treated.
