(Reuters) -U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions called for U.S. vaccine advisers to delay a Wednesday meeting to discuss recommendations for vaccines.
“Wednesday’s meeting should not proceed with a relatively small panel, and no CDC Director in place to approve the panel’s recommendations,” Cassidy said in a post on X, referring to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC panel, known as the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, is scheduled to meet on June 25 and 26.
