BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Battle Creek Police say they arrested three men Tuesday evening after finding two handguns while responding to a report of a man with a gun.
Officers responded around 7:45 p.m. to the area of Warren Street and South Avenue. A caller reported that a vehicle had arrived with several occupants, and at least one appeared to be armed.
When officers arrived, they found the vehicle parked against traffic and saw four individuals attempting to walk away. Officers detained all four. They saw one firearm in plain view and found a second during a search of the vehicle.
Police arrested a 35-year-old Battle Creek man, a 20-year-old Jackson man, and a 21-year-old Albion man.
All three were booked into the Calhoun County Jail on weapons-related charges.
