PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The city of Portage is planning to celebrate centenarians with a brunch on Thursday, July 24 at 11 a.m.
Anyone who is already 100-years-old or will turn 100 in 2025 is invited to celebrate at the event.
Portage officials say over 120 centenarians call Kalamazoo County home and they want to celebrate as many of them as possible.
Each centenarian may bring two guests to attend for free. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (269) 329-4555.
The 2025 Centenarian Brunch will be at the Portage Zhang Senior Center at 203 East Centre Avenue.
The city says the event is possible thanks to the support from the Mary Thompson Foundation, the Area Agency on Aging, and Storyline Company.
