KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Former presidential candidate and current U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will be in Kalamazoo Saturday, August 23 as a part of his national “Fighting Oligarchy” tour.
In Kalamazoo, the Vermont Independent will be joined by Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Many of Sander’s tour events in the Midwest are designed to bolster Democratic candidates.
Senator Sanders previously visited Kalamazoo in 2016, while running as a Democratic presidential nominee. This Saturday he will speak at Miller Auditorium on the campus of Western Michigan University.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m, with the speaking program to begin at 7:00 p.m.
This event is free, but reservations are encouraged.
