KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man serving between 29 and 69 years in prison for killing his parents in 2021 is now charged with killing a 17-year-old in 2018.
32-year-old Nicholas Johnson was arraigned in Kalamazoo County yesterday on charges of open murder and weapons violations in the murder of Bonifacio Pena.
Pena was last seen with the suspect in May 2018 and his body has not been found.
Johnson was sentenced for killing parents Gary and Laura Johnson in November 2023, killing them at their Portage home and burying them a few miles away in the Gourdneck State Game Area.
