OTSEGO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Otsego Police Department is looking for the public’s help to solve an arson fire that destroyed a playground structure in the city earlier this month.
September 2 at 12:18 a.m. Allegan County Dispatch received a call regarding a fire engulfing the wooden playground structure at Northside Park in the 300 block of North 16th Street.
The Otsego Fire Department and Police Department responded to the scene finding the play structure completely on fire.
Crews from Otsego Fire were able to contain the fire, preventing it
from spreading to the entire play area.
Otsego Police department began investigating the crime,
looking for any suspects in the area, assisted by Plainwell DPS and Allegan County Sheriffs Office.
The Otsego Police Department says they are actively investigating the arson and arr requesting anyone with information about the fire to contact their department at (269)692-6111.
