(Reuters) -An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 struck near the Eastern Visayas region in the Philippines on Tuesday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
There was no tsunami threat after the quake, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
The quake was at a depth of 11 km (seven miles), according to the USGS.
