RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 65-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening after being shot at a home in Kalamazoo County’s Richland Township late Sunday morning.
Around 11:20 a.m. the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 10000 block of East D Avenue. When officers arrived they located a man with a gunshot wound to the neck.
The victim was initially treated by rescue personnal from Richland Twp. Fire Department on scene and then was transported to a local hospital for what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.
Through the investigation at the scene, Deputies were able to identify a suspect, and the weapon used in the shooting has been recovered.
Once the investigation into the shooting is completed by deputies, the Sheriff’s Office says the case will be forwarded to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutors Office for review.
