BURR OAK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 21-year-old man has been killed when they were hit by a vehicle Sunday morning in Burr Oak Township.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office has identified him as Kayden Gruver and they have not located the pickup truck that hit and killed him.
Deputies were sent to US-12 and Burr Oak Road just after 7 a.m. on a report of someone unresponsive on the side of the road, and Gruver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office says they are looking for a 2007 to 2015 GMC Sierra or Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that has front end and passenger side damage.
They are also asking anyone who was with the 21-year-old man Saturday night or early Sunday morning to speak up. Residents and businesses are also being asked for surveillance footage that might show the deadly crash.
