PARCHMENT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Veterans Day ceremony will be held in Parchment on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m.
Parchment United Methodist Church pastor Joe Shaler is putting it on for the second straight year.
It will be held at the Parchment veterans memorial.
Shaler says they are adding another thing to the ceremony.
He tells us longtime Parchment city commissioner and Mayor Rob Heasley will be honored for his work to get the city’s veterans memorial built adjacent to Parchment City Hall. Heasley died March 12 this year at 78-years-old.
Shaler served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974 to 1978.
