LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is criticizing the pardons issued by President Donald Trump of the “2020 election deniers” in Michigan.
The Democratic candidate for governor says the pardons of the 16 Republicans sends a dangerous “green light” to people who “would use lies and conspiracy theories to undermine future elections.”
Benson says she faced threats and intimidation in 2020 including armed protestors outside her home, but says that made her bolder and more determined to ensure free and fair elections continue.
