LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A new license plate is available in Michigan honoring the state’s women veterans.
The plate has an illustration of a woman veteran with “Her Service Our Freedom” under the illustration.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says “the visibility it promotes is a daily reminder to Michiganders everywhere of the role of women who serve.”
The new license plate is the 33rd design to honor past and present military members and their families in Michigan.
The Secretary of State’s Office says there are over 44,000 woman veterans in Michigan and make up 9% of the veteran population in the state.
