MARENGO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 39-year-old Marshall man is hospitalized at Henry Ford Health in Jackson after he was injured in a crash with a tree in Marengo Township Wednesday night.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash on H Drive North near 22 1/2 Mile Road and found the Dodge pickup had collided with a tree.
The man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Deputies say speed, alcohol use, and marijuana use are believed to have been factors in the crash.
The sheriff’s office says they were helped at the scene by the Marengo Township Fire Department, Marshall Area Firefighters Ambulance Authority, Calhoun County Consolidated Dispatch Authority, and Bud’s Towing.
This case remains under investigation.
