DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The average price for a gallon of gas in Michigan is now at $2.73, a drop of 12¢ in the past week.
Triple-A Michigan says the price is 43¢ less than last month and down 38¢ in the past year.
A 15-gallon tank of gas costs $40 statewide on average.
Michigan’s highest price is in Ann Arbor at $2.87, and Traverse City has the most affordable gas at $2.54 a gallon.
In southwest Michigan, Van Buren County has the lowest average price at $2.65, followed by Calhoun County at $2.67, Allegan County at $2.68, Berrien County at $2.69, St. Joseph County at $2.72, Kalamazoo County at $2.73, Barry County at $2.86, and Cass County at $2.91.
