HEATH TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car in Allegan County’s Heath Township on Tuesday evening.
Around 6:00 p.m. multiple deputies from the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car/pedestrian accident on M-40 near 136th Avenue.
M-40 was shut down from 136th Avenue to 47th Street for the accident investigation for several hours.
The Sheriff’s Office says speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident, but disclosed no other details surrounding the circumstances that led to the incident, nor gave any names or hometowns of those involved.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Hamilton Fire Department, Holland AMR, Allegan County Central Dispatch and the Allegan County Accident Reconstruction Team.
