KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Bronson Healthcare patients covered by UnitedHealthcare are breathing a sigh of relief after healthcare officials announced Tuesday all Bronson hospitals, outpatient locations, and physician offices will remain in-network for members enrolled in UHC Commercial and Individual health plans, ensuring uninterrupted access to care at Bronson for patients across Southwest Michigan.
“This agreement represents a shared commitment to offering high quality healthcare that is both convenient and affordable for people in the communities we serve,” said Ryan Horn, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for Bronson Healthcare.
The current contract was set to expire at the end of the month. Bronson officials say contract negotiations are a routine part of healthcare to ensure that healthcare providers are reimbursed fairly for the care that is provided.
Patients with specific questions about their healthcare coverage can visit bronsonhealth.com or call the number on their UnitedHealthcare member ID card.
