LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Governor Whitmer has signed another 36 bills into law this week, bringing the total public acts enacted in 2025 to 74.
Twenty were Senate bills, and 16 were House bills.
That remains the record for the fewest public acts enacted in a regular session of the legislature since Michigan became a state in 1837.
Among the bills signed is a ban on electronic bots purchasing large amounts of concert and game tickets, known as the “Taylor Swift bills,” after the bots that drove up resale prices for her shows in Detroit in June 2023.
