LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michiganders are digging out from a winter storm that blasted the entire state Monday.
Consumers Energy says crews have been brought in to Michigan to help them restore power that was lost.
They came from Maryland, Alabama, Texas, and Canada to help with the round-the-clock work.
The utility says nearly 62,000 of their customers lost power and the largest number are in Clare, Isabella, Mecosta, Osceola, and Wexford counties.
In metro Detroit, DTE says they have also brought in crews from other states including Maryland and Iowa to help them get the power back on for several thousand customers.
