PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A pole barn in Portage suffered fire damage Wednesday when a fireworks display inside the barn malfunctioned and exploded.
Firefighters were called to the location on Holiday Lane near Greenbriar Drive around 2 p.m. and saw heavy smoke coming from the pole barn.
Someone was inside working on the display when the malfunction happened and was hurt trying to put out the flames.
