KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – With the latest snowfall and more predicted this weekend, the City of Kalamazoo is asking residents to keep parked vehicles off residential streets so they can continue to plow those streets safely and effectively.
They say the issue has been particularly impactful in the Vine and Knollwood neighborhoods.
A news release from the city Thursday afternoon said Emergency Management and Public Works is aware of the side street conditions after the latest snowfall and they “want to assure the public that those areas are part of our ongoing response plan. Crews are working systematically to address all priority routes, including residential streets.”
They are mobilizing additional staff today to assist with plowing and treating streets, supplementing existing road crews.
