KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A local company that is a leader in recycling has gotten a national spotlight.
Kalamazoo-based Schupan and Sons was recently featured on CNBC’s “Now We Know” program.
The local business repurposes all sorts of old aluminum products and other metals and materials so they can be turned into new products.
Kalamazoo County Administrator Kevin Catlin mentioned the national TV exposure at this week’s county board meeting.

The 58-year-old firm employs about 230 people locally recycling old electronics, beverage containers, aluminum and plastic, and recently underwent a $10 million expansion.
