KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra’s board of directors has appointed Amy Williams as their new president and CEO.
She is coming to Kalamazoo from Savannah, Georgia where she has served as CEO of the Savannah Philharmonic since 2020.
Williams will succeed Jessica Mallow Gulley, who left Kalamazoo to join the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra as president and managing director in October 2025. Since then, orchestra manager veteran Jonathan Martin has served as interim president and CEO of the Symphony.
She will step in as the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra embraces its second century of music-making, education, and service to the Kalamazoo community in pursuit of the KSO’s vision to serve its community through outstanding musical listening and learning experiences.
The KSO says she will work to expand their annual reach around southwest Michigan by fostering diversive artistic collaborations and ensuring symphonic music remains an accessible and vibrant part of everyday life for greater Kalamazoo.
