PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Stryker Corporation in Portage has been hit by a cyberattack linked to Iran.
The medical technology manufacturing company says they have had a “global network disruption to our Microsoft environment as a result of a cyber attack” and have no indication of ransomware or malware and believe it is contained.
Their IT teams are working to understand the impact of the attack.
At least one employee saw a message from the Iranian-based hacker group Handala when they opened their browser, and Handala says it is retaliation “for the brutal attack on the Minab school and in response to ongoing cyber assaults against the infrastructure of the Axis of Resistance.”
They say they have wiped 200,000 systems and devices and pulled 50-terabytes of data.
