DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Retired Detroit Police Sergeant Benjamin Wagner is held without bond in the Wayne County Jail after he was arraigned Thursday on charges of kidnapping and raping five women and girls.
Wagner was arrested earlier this month in North Carolina and is accused of committing the crimes against victims between 15 and 23-years-old.
He worked for the Detroit Police Department from 1989 until 2017 and allegedly targeted women and girls within a five-and-a-half mile radius of his home.
The cases happened between 1999 and 2003.
