GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A review of 12 officer-involved shootings in Grand Rapids over the past five years was reviewed by city leaders yesterday.
The review was prompted by the shooting death in February of Da’Quain Johnson during a struggle with police.
Interim Police Chief Joe Trigg says that case and several others are still being investigated and he was not able to comment on them.
Trigg did say he stands with the department and their policies, and adds they hold their officers to those.
