PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 40-year-old Richland man is charged with fraudulent conveyances and encumbering without lawful cause for filing several liens on a property in Van Buren County he was trying to buy.
George Parnell made an offer on the property on M-43 near North Van Kal Street in Almena Township and had an agreement to buy the home.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office says Parnell, however, didn’t honor the terms of the agreement and the sale was immediately terminated.
He then filed the liens, resulting in the property’s title being clouded.
