BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Several stolen guns have been seized by the Battle Creek Police Department.
Members of the BCPD’s Fusion Center and an embedded agent from the Calhoun County Adult Probation and Parole Services got a tip last Monday about a stash of stolen firearms that a homeless person in Battle Creek had.
They found the suspect in an encampment near Dickman Road and I-194/M-66 and arrested them on a probation violation, with additional weapons charges pending.
The guns had been reported stolen in the state of Texas and police recovered four semi-automatic handguns, one revolver, one assault-style rifle, and ammunition, extra magazines, gun parts, and accessories.
